Rescue and Emergency Medicine Training
BEVA and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service currently offer excellent training to prepare any vet for what they may face when they attend a rescue!
These courses offer an invaluable insight into how a rescue works, and gives the Vet the skills, knowledge and confidence to attend at a rescue safely, work effectively with Animal Rescue teams, and provide the most appropriate care. Courses currently available are:
Rescue and Emergency Medicine for Veterinary Surgeons - a 2 day course aiming to equip equine practioners with the skills and knowledge they need to work effectively and safely at rescues, to improve the welfare of horses at incidents and to acheive better rescue outcomes.

Equine Manual handling for Nurses and Technicians - A bespoke manual handling course for groups of Nurses, Technicians, Grooms and Veterinary Surgeons. Delegates will gain practical skills to enable them to move recumbent horses safely, effectively and humanely in any environment and safe working practices around the horse.
